Terms of Use

These Terms of Use are a legal agreement between you and Formation Football, LLC governing access to Formation websites, apps, software, content, workflows, templates, data structures, designs, and related services. By creating an account, signing in, or using Formation, you accept these Terms.

Formation and its software, user experience, interface designs, workflows, code, systems, databases, templates, names, logos, graphics, documentation, and other materials are owned by Formation Football, LLC or its licensors. Except for the limited right to use the service as allowed by these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, scrape, decompile, create derivative works from, or use Formation to build or train a competing product without written permission.

You are responsible for your account credentials, users you invite, activity under your account, and keeping account information accurate. Formation may suspend or terminate access if it believes an account creates legal, security, operational, payment, or abuse risk.

You keep ownership of content you submit, including team information, schedules, scouting notes, files, messages, rosters, financial records, and other data. You grant Formation a limited license to host, process, transmit, display, back up, secure, analyze, and use that content only to provide, protect, support, and improve the service.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit your content and to invite other users to access it. Do not upload unlawful, confidential, infringing, unsafe, or sensitive information unless you have authority to do so.

Formation may process personal information to operate the service. You are responsible for complying with laws that apply to your organization, athletes, staff, parents, guardians, and users, including consent, notice, retention, and access requirements.

Formation is not intended for children under 13 to use directly. If your organization handles information about minors, you are responsible for obtaining required parent, guardian, school, league, or organizational permissions before entering or sharing that information.

You may not misuse Formation, interfere with service operation, bypass security, access another account without authorization, upload malware, harass others, violate law, infringe intellectual property, misrepresent identity, scrape or bulk export data except through supported product features, or use Formation for unlawful gambling, recruiting violations, unsafe conduct, or any activity that creates legal or reputational risk for Formation.

Formation provides operational tools for football organizations. It does not provide legal, tax, accounting, medical, safety, athletic eligibility, recruiting, employment, or financial advice. You are responsible for decisions made using the service and for consulting qualified professionals where appropriate.

Formation may connect with hosting providers, email services, payment processors, analytics, cloud storage, authentication providers, and other third-party services. Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices. Formation is not responsible for third-party services outside its control.

Formation may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue features at any time. The service may be unavailable because of maintenance, outages, security issues, provider failures, or events outside Formation's control.

Formation is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, Formation disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, accuracy, security, and error-free performance.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Formation Football, LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, lost-profit, lost-revenue, lost-data, business interruption, reputational, or similar damages. Formation's total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to Formation for the service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or $100 if no amount was paid.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Formation Football, LLC from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your content, your users, your organization, your breach of these Terms, your violation of law, or your misuse of the service.

Before filing a claim, you agree to first contact Formation and try to resolve the dispute informally. To the extent allowed by law, disputes must be brought individually and not as a class, consolidated, private attorney general, or representative action.

Formation may update these Terms by posting revised terms or giving notice through the service. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Questions about these Terms should be sent through Formation's official support or account contact channels.
