Before you begin

Open the Team Hub with an active claimed player or coach account.

Steps

Open Messages in your Team Hub, or use the Messages control in the team header while working in another module. On phones, the panel fills the screen. Choose Full page for the dedicated view.

You can send messages and attachments, search your accessible history, reply in threads, react with emoji, and see reader lists. Mute a conversation to suppress its notifications while keeping unread counts. Editing your messages and confirming deletion preserve the conversation; deleted messages leave a marker.

New teams allow coach-only DMs. A team admin can enable coach/player DMs and player/player DMs separately in Messages → Settings. Turning a category off also stops further sends in existing DMs of that category. Only active players and coaches with claimed accounts can participate.

All Coaches and position-group channels follow current team assignments. Coaches can create named groups and manage their participants. Team admins can manage automatic channel overrides and all groups. Membership management alone does not allow an admin to read a private group.

What to expect

Adding and removing members keeps the same group and messages. A member sees history from their latest join onward. Removal immediately revokes access; rejoining starts a fresh history boundary. Threads and attachments follow the same rule.

Troubleshooting

Text drafts and pending messages survive temporary connectivity loss. Failed sends keep their text and show Retry. Attachments must finish uploading before sending. Group membership changes require an internet connection.

Messages is included wherever your plan includes team chat, including Free. Attachments count against your organization's storage allowance. Notifications for DMs, mentions, and followed-thread replies use generic previews inside Formation.
